FITTER MECHANIC (MANUFACTURING) @ HSD-MELT
We are seeking a skilled Fitter Mechanic to maintain and repair machinery within our manufacturing facility in Tanzania. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all mechanical equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting production targets. You will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various industrial machines, requiring a hands-on approach and technical expertise.
The Fitter Mechanic must follow strict safety protocols and maintenance schedules. You will work closely with the production team to address mechanical failures quickly and perform routine inspections to prevent future issues. This role is vital for the continuous operation of our manufacturing processes, requiring a dedicated professional with a strong mechanical background and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Requirements
Trade Test Grade I or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Fitter Mechanics.
Proven experience as a Fitter Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Skill in using various hand and power tools for mechanical repairs.
Experience with welding and metal fabrication is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex industrial machinery.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Commitment to occupational health and safety standards.
Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
