ELECTRICIAN @ HSD-MELT
The Electrician will be responsible for a wide range of technical tasks within a manufacturing environment, specifically focusing on furnace units. The primary duties include installing, testing, and maintaining complex electrical systems and wiring to ensure operational efficiency. The candidate must be adept at reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot faults and perform timely repairs. Safety is a top priority, and the role requires strict adherence to industry standards and electrical codes during all phases of operation, including the commissioning and startup of furnace systems. Possible work locations include Dar es Salaam and Kisemvule, Mkuranga. In addition to technical execution, the role involves conducting routine inspections and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will work closely with the manufacturing team to support industrial processes and ensure that all electrical infrastructure meets the necessary regulatory requirements. Key Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation and repair
Previous experience working in industrial settings or with furnace units is highly preferred
Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics
Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical faults and performing timely repairs
Deep understanding of safety standards and local electrical codes
Experience in the commissioning and startup of electrical furnace systems
Ability to conduct routine inspections and systematic preventive maintenance
Strong technical diagnostic skills and attention to detail
Capability to work effectively in a manufacturing and production environment
