COST ACCOUNTANT @ HSD-MELT
As a Cost Accountant, you will assume a critical role in meticulously managing, analyzing, and optimizing the costs intricately associated with our manufacturing operations. This position mandates a profound understanding of core cost accounting principles, precise inventory valuation methodologies, and proven proficiency in utilizing sophisticated ERP systems to ensure the utmost accuracy in financial reporting and robust cost control mechanisms. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for diligently tracking, thoroughly analyzing, and comprehensively reporting on product costs, proactively identifying areas ripe for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, and providing invaluable support for strategic financial decision-making processes. This role is absolutely essential for sustaining the financial health, operational efficiency, and overall profitability of the manufacturing processes within HSD-Melt's dynamic environment.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Cost Accounting within the Manufacturing industry, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
Ability to develop and implement effective cost control procedures and strategies.
Experience in detailed variance analysis and comprehensive cost-benefit analysis.
Knowledge of standard costing and actual costing methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.
Ability to collaborate with production and operations teams to optimize costs.
