CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO) – IT @ HSD-MELT
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will lead our IT department through a period of significant digital transformation and ERP implementation. This executive role is responsible for defining the organization's IT strategy, ensuring robust infrastructure, and overseeing cybersecurity and data protection protocols. You will drive business intelligence initiatives, using data-driven insights to support corporate decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.
As the head of IT, you will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while leading a team of technical professionals. The role requires a strategic thinker who can align technology with business goals. Note that fluency in Kiswahili is required for this position, and candidates of Kenyan nationality will be considered for the role based in Dar es Salaam.

Key Requirements
University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications are preferred.
Proven experience in leading large-scale ERP implementation and optimization projects.
Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and network management.
Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, data protection, and compliance standards.
Experience in implementing and managing data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop diverse IT teams.
Strategic thinking capabilities to align IT initiatives with organizational business goals.
Experience in managing IT budgets, third-party vendors, and complex SLAs.
Fluency in Kiswahili is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives within a corporate environment.
