HSE HEAD @ HSD HUMAN RESOURCE SOLUTIONS
As the HSE Head, you will be a key leader within the Construction and Manufacturing divisions, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship. You will be responsible for the comprehensive development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring full compliance with both local Tanzanian regulations and international safety standards, effectively reducing workplace risks across various operational sites.
In addition to strategic planning, you will oversee day-to-day safety operations, including conducting rigorous site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. You will lead incident investigations and ensure that robust corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence. A significant portion of the role involves promoting a safety-first culture through the delivery of high-impact training programs for both internal staff and external subcontractors, while also managing environmental impact and waste management initiatives.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of professional HSE management experience.
Proven background in the construction or industrial manufacturing sectors.
Must possess NEBOSH certification.
Possession of IOSH or OSHA certifications is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and safety regulations.
Thorough understanding of international HSE standards and compliance frameworks.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for incident investigation.
Exceptional communication skills for training and reporting to regulatory authorities.
