STORE & YARD MANAGER @ HRWORLD
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client in the FMCG industry, is seeking to recruit an experienced Store & Yard Manager to oversee all warehouse and yard operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, safe storage, and timely dispatch of goods. The role involves effective coordination of inbound and outbound logistics to support overall business operations in Mwanza. The manager will lead, supervise, and develop warehouse staff and yard personnel to ensure operational targets are met, while maintaining strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Additionally, the role requires close coordination with Procurement, Sales, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure timely product availability and seamless delivery processes. Performance will be monitored through various KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and dispatch efficiency. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and preparing operational reports for management review.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse, store, or logistics operations within the FMCG industry.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and yard management.
Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO inventory practices and stock control procedures.
Proficiency in ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety standards in warehouse environments.
Very good command of written and spoken English.
