HR World Limited is recruiting a Warehouse Officer to manage operations at a facility located in Tanga, Tanzania. The role involves managing warehouse activities, ensuring rigorous inventory control, and maintaining the integrity of stock for parts, materials, and equipment within the automotive sector. The officer will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming goods against documentation, ensuring proper storage and preservation, and updating inventory records within the company's systems to maintain high levels of accuracy and stock visibility. Beyond administrative tasks, the Warehouse Officer will coordinate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials. Key duties include conducting regular stock counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining safety standards and housekeeping within the warehouse. The position is based in Tanga and requires a proactive professional capable of enhancing warehouse efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and meticulous record-keeping.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
Previous experience within the automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse best practices.
Experience working with ERP systems and specialized inventory management software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced Excel skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in record-keeping.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and warehouse safety standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination.
