MECHANICAL ENGINEER (3 POSITIONS) @ HR WORLD LIMITED
HR World Limited is seeking three experienced Mechanical Engineers to oversee generator maintenance activities for a client in the automotive industry. The role requires on-site presence in Tanga to manage large Caterpillar generator systems within a continuous 24/7 power generation environment.
Successful candidates will be responsible for leading generator system diagnostics, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and driving reliability improvement initiatives. You will monitor generator performance data, ensure strict adherence to safety and operational standards, and provide technical leadership to site maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power/Energy Engineering
5-7 years of experience with large Caterpillar generator systems
Proven experience in generator diagnosis and major repairs
Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure prevention strategies
Strong leadership and analytical decision-making skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in a 24/7 high-pressure operational environment
Commitment to strict safety standards and operational protocols
Knowledge of condition monitoring practices
