HR World Limited is currently seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their client's team in Morogoro. This role is pivotal in managing core accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records across several sectors, including logistics, transport, manufacturing, and construction. The Accountant will play a vital role in supporting business operations by providing reliable financial data and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional capable of handling complex financial tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing daily accounting operations, performing comprehensive bank and creditor reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing periodic financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring strict compliance with all statutory and tax regulations. Additionally, the role involves working closely with various departments to optimize financial operations and providing necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Upper Second Class required).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting roles.
Proven experience within the transport, logistics, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
Practical experience in using Tally accounting software is mandatory.
Strong experience in performing bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
Deep understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex financial data.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills for inter-departmental collaboration.
Ability to ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax filings and financial regulations.
