HR World Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their client's team in Morogoro. This role is central to managing core accounting functions, ensuring the maintenance of accurate financial records, and supporting diverse business operations across sectors including transport, logistics, manufacturing, and construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to guide business strategy.
Beyond routine bookkeeping, the Accountant will play a vital role in bank and stakeholder reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They must ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including timely tax filings and adherence to financial regulations. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least an Upper Second Class.
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in accounting.
Prior experience working in transport, logistics, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
Proven practical experience in using Tally accounting software.
Extensive experience in performing bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
Solid understanding of core accounting principles and comprehensive financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills combined with effective problem-solving abilities.
High level of personal integrity, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate financial data clearly.
Comprehensive knowledge of local statutory requirements and tax filing processes.
