PAYABLE ACCOUNTANT @ HR.LESSONTZ
Hr.lessontz is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payable Accountant to join our financial team in Dar es Salaam, specifically located in the Mbezi Beach area. The primary focus of this role is to manage the accounts payable function efficiently, ensuring that all financial transactions with suppliers are handled with precision and professionalism. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire payment cycle, from invoice processing to final disbursement, while maintaining robust financial records.
In addition to routine processing, the successful candidate will perform regular reconciliations of supplier accounts to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls. You will also be expected to stay updated on local tax regulations and compliance standards to assist the organization in maintaining its legal standing. Key Requirements
1-3 years of professional experience specifically in Accounts Payable roles.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of core accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and processing.
Proven ability to reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Tally is highly preferred.
Familiarity with local tax laws and financial compliance regulations in Tanzania.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet strict payment deadlines.
Strong communication skills for interacting with internal departments and external vendors.
