Hobark International is seeking a commercially driven and strategic General Manager to lead and scale its Credit Bureau business in Tanzania, powered by Dun & Bradstreet. This pivotal role is based in Dar es Salaam and offers a competitive budget ranging from TZS 10,000,000/- to TZS 15,000,000/- per month. The General Manager will be instrumental in driving market expansion, revenue growth, and financial ecosystem development across Tanzania.

Key responsibilities include fostering strong relationships with critical stakeholders such as the Bank of Tanzania, various banks, fintechs, telcos, insurers, and regulators. The role demands a leader who can accelerate commercial growth, expand revenue streams, and ensure enterprise client adoption of credit bureau solutions. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be tasked with enhancing the credit data ecosystem, incorporating alternative data sources, and ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory and data protection frameworks. Building and developing a high-performing local team with strong execution discipline will be crucial to strengthening the bureau’s position as a trusted credit and risk intelligence partner in the region.

Key Requirements

Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field 10+ years’ experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or data/analytics industries At least 5+ years in senior leadership roles Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and team leadership experience Solid understanding and background of commercial banks and the entire process for credit department Proven experience in Sales/Business Development Demonstrated ability to grow business turnover and nurture daily operations Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including regulators and financial institutions Experience in driving revenue growth and enterprise sales strategies Knowledge and application of regulatory and data protection frameworks Proven capability to lead and develop high-performing teams
