FOOD TECHNOLOGIST @ HIRECREST
Hirecrest is seeking a dedicated Food Technologist to contribute to their operations in Tanzania. This position focuses on driving product innovation and quality within the food processing industry. The technologist will lead various research and development projects, focusing on recipe improvement, pilot plant trials, and comprehensive sensory analysis to meet consumer expectations and market trends. In addition to R&D, the candidate will oversee quality control protocols and food safety management systems. This involves maintaining strict compliance with ISO and HACCP standards, managing technical documentation, and resolving operational quality challenges. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in the FMCG sector looking to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment in Tanzania.
Key Requirements
Degree in Food Science or related field
2+ years of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards (FSSC, ISO, HACCP)
Demonstrated ability in product development and recipe improvement
Experience conducting sensory evaluations and shelf-life stability studies
Skills in executing lab trials and pilot plant operations
Proficiency in food safety compliance and labeling standards
Experience managing technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
Ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues in production
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
