HESU Investment Limited is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Procurement Officer to enhance its procurement and inventory management capabilities. This role is crucial for overseeing specialized spare parts and equipment within its transport, workshop, and heavy machinery operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient acquisition and management of technical components critical to the company's operational success.
Key responsibilities include identifying and selecting specialized vendors, interpreting complex engineering specifications to ensure part compatibility, and diligently monitoring stock levels. The officer will also be responsible for negotiating favorable pricing and delivery terms with suppliers, as well as conducting quality inspections to ensure all parts meet industry standards. The position requires a strong technical acumen, excellent analytical skills, and proven vendor management capabilities, alongside proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. The role is based in Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Strong understanding of technical spare parts and electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
Good understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain KPIs.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management & mechanical/electrical engineering.
5-7+ years in procurement or supply chain roles, with specific exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or maritime sectors.
