QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER @ HESTER BIOSCIENCES AFRICA LIMITED
Hester Biosciences Africa Ltd, located in the Kibaha Tamco Industrial Estate, is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quality Control Manager to join our animal vaccine manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will lead both our Quality Control laboratory operations and our Research and Development initiatives, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance. This is a critical leadership role that requires deep technical expertise in biological manufacturing and a strategic mindset to drive product optimization and process excellence.
In this capacity, you will oversee the management of the QC team, ensuring timely testing protocols and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Simultaneously, you will spearhead R&D activities, including technology transfer, analytical method development, and the scale-up of vaccine products from laboratory stages to full production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing, to maintain our reputation for excellence in the veterinary vaccine industry.

Key Requirements
Msc or PHD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Veterinary Science or a related field
10 to 15 years of work experience in animal vaccine or biological manufacturing
Strong hands-on experience in vaccine testing and analytical methods
Extensive knowledge of GMP, GLP, and data integrity standards
Proven expertise in technology transfer and scale-up activities
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-management skills
Advanced technical problem-solving capabilities
Experience in bacterial or viral vaccine production processes
Ability to manage regulatory inspections and internal audits
Proficiency in managing laboratory equipment, reagents, and calibration schedules
