POULTRY VETERINARIAN @ HARVESTPOINT
Harvestpoint is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Poultry Veterinarian to lead our poultry health initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive vaccination and disease prevention programs to ensure the health and productivity of our poultry flocks. You will be instrumental in conducting regular farm visits, performing health assessments, and leading disease investigations to maintain the highest standards of animal welfare. Furthermore, you will provide critical technical support to our farmers and customers, bridging the gap between advanced veterinary science and practical farm management.
In addition to direct field support, the role requires meticulous record-keeping and compliance management. You will ensure that all operations adhere to national veterinary regulations and biosecurity protocols. The position also involves educational responsibilities, where you will train farm personnel and field teams on best management practices. You will prepare detailed technical reports and health documentation to guide management in strategic decision-making. This role is based in Morogoro, Tanzania, and involves active participation in our customer success and technical marketing efforts to drive performance and growth.

Key Requirements
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) or equivalent degree
Valid registration with the Veterinary Council of Tanzania
Proven experience in poultry health management and vaccination programs
Strong understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare regulations
Ability to conduct disease diagnosis and field health investigations
Excellent technical reporting and record-keeping skills
Effective communication skills for training farmers and staff
Willingness to travel for regular farm site assessments
Ability to interpret laboratory test results for clinical decisions
