MAINFRAME ENGINEER (L2+) @ HARSHIT GUPTA
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mainframe Engineer (L2+) to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for ensuring the stability and performance of our mainframe environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing batch operations, handling complex abends, and ensuring that scheduling through CA7 remains optimized. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and performance standards across our systems. In addition to core technical tasks, you will be expected to participate in an on-call rotation to provide incident response support. This role requires a strong understanding of secondary systems like MQ, IPL, and CICS, as well as a solid foundation in DB2. With 4 to 6 years of experience, you will play a key role in identifying and resolving technical issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of our mainframe operations.
Key Requirements
Expertise in CA7 scheduling tools
Proficiency in JCL programming
Experience with Batch operations and abend handling (restart, FC, cancel)
Strong knowledge of DB2 database management
Functional knowledge of MQ messaging systems
Experience with IPL (Initial Program Load) processes
Working knowledge of CICS environments
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Proven experience in incident response and resolution
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in mainframe engineering
