We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic soap manufacturing facility located in Kibaha Maili Moja, Pwani. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle, ensuring that the company maintains an efficient supply chain to support our production activities. You will play a critical role in sourcing high-quality raw materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all purchasing activities align with company standards and budgets.
In this role, you will work closely with the production department to forecast supply needs and manage inventory procurement effectively. You will be expected to handle day-to-day administrative procurement tasks, negotiate pricing with suppliers, and maintain meticulous records of all transactions. Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Practical experience in purchasing, supplier management, and obtaining quotations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict production deadlines.
Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments.
Knowledge of local market procurement regulations and standards.
Ability to maintain high standards of procurement ethics and record keeping.
