The Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed-asset accounting to payroll and budget management. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of statutory payments, revenue remittances, and withholding tax (WHT) to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards. You will also oversee the company's monthly budget preparations, monitor procurement and operational expenses, and manage petty cash disbursements with high accuracy and detailed documentation. Beyond day-to-day transaction management, the role involves strategic financial analysis and reporting. You will collaborate with external auditors for annual financial statements, maintain both electronic and physical filing systems, and provide data-driven recommendations to management for cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will stay updated on evolving accounting standards and government regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant with NSITF, Pension, and Tax Clearance requirements while supporting cross-functional teams to achieve operational efficiency.

Key Requirements

BSc in Accounting or Finance. 4 – 7 years of experience post NYSC. Must have completed NYSC. Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN is a significant advantage. Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, numeracy, and organizational skills. Possess critical-thinking skills and an inquisitive nature. Ability to use accounting software, specifically QuickBooks and Sage 50. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel for financial modeling. High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
