EXPAT FIELD ENGINEER @ GREENLINK REGEN
Greenlink ReGen is a growing renewable energy firm currently seeking a dedicated Expat Field Engineer to manage solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate will lead installation teams across Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania, ensuring that commercial and industrial scale systems ranging from 100 kW to over 1 MW are commissioned successfully and perform optimally. This role involves direct oversight of subcontractors and rigorous adherence to international quality and safety standards. You will be at the forefront of sustainable energy implementation in East Africa.
Beyond technical supervision, the Field Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing complex electrical issues, managing inverter and battery communications, and utilizing remote monitoring platforms to evaluate system health. A core part of the mission is mentoring local technicians to foster technical growth within the region. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who is comfortable working in remote field environments and is passionate about driving the transition to sustainable energy. You will work across various sites including Zanzibar and various mainland Tanzania locations.

Key Requirements
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Mechatronics.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Solar PV and BESS installation.
Proficiency in commissioning and troubleshooting commercial-scale systems.
Deep understanding of on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar configurations.
Hands-on experience with inverters and BESS controllers.
Knowledge of protection systems and communication protocols.
Ability to work effectively in remote or rural environments.
Strong leadership skills to supervise on-site teams and subcontractors.
Commitment to strict safety, quality, and documentation standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
