FIBER DEPLOYMENT PROJECT MANAGER – FTTX @ GREEN TELECOM
The Fiber Deployment Project Manager at Green Telecom is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of FTTX deployment projects. This involves overseeing the entire lifecycle from survey and design validation to final testing, acceptance, and handover. The successful candidate will lead diverse field teams, including engineers, riggers, and subcontractors, ensuring that all underground and aerial fiber installations meet stringent customer specifications and quality standards. Beyond technical execution, the role focuses on project governance, including cost control, resource utilization, and timeline management. The manager will coordinate with telecom operators and local authorities while maintaining high safety standards (HSE). Candidates are expected to travel across various project locations in Tanzania to monitor progress against KPIs and ensure customer satisfaction through efficient fiber deployment productivity.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Project Management.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in telecom infrastructure deployment.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing FTTX / fiber deployment projects.
Strong experience in large-scale fiber rollout and subcontractor management.
Experience with OSP fiber deployment, HDPE duct installation, and pole installation.
Proficiency in fiber splicing, testing, and OTDR analysis.
Knowledge of GPON / XGS-PON networks and POP activation.
Ability to manage project cost control, resource utilization, and material reconciliation.
Strong reporting skills (DPR, WPR, monthly project reports).
Commitment to quality standards and HSE requirements.
