GIG Consult is hiring a Credit Officer for a reputable Microfinance Institution located in Dar es Salaam. This position focuses on the careful assessment of credit applications and the systematic monitoring of loan repayments to minimize portfolio risk.
As a Credit Officer, you will market loan products to potential clients and conduct rigorous due diligence, including business verification and guarantor checks. You will present recommendations to management for approval and ensure that all records are maintained with high levels of accuracy, while working consistently to hit periodic performance targets.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Credit Officer in a financial institution or SACCOS.
Solid understanding of microfinance lending principles and credit risk frameworks.
Strong experience in conducting financial analysis and business verification.
Ability to manage loan recovery activities and mitigate portfolio risk.
Excellent record-keeping and data management skills.
Proven track record of meeting periodic performance and collection targets.
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
High degree of integrity and professionalism in handling financial transactions.
Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
