Genius Consultancy is seeking a diligent Assistant Accountant to support our finance department in Dar es Salaam. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the accounting team to process transactions, prepare reports, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks such as bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, assisting with month-end closing procedures, and preparing financial statements. You will also help in verifying financial data, resolving discrepancies, and providing analytical support. Key Requirements
Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar financial role.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or ACCA certification is an added advantage.
