OPERATIONS MANAGER @ GCAS
Our client is seeking a dedicated and highly proactive Operations Manager to lead their warehouse and logistical activities in Dar es Salaam. This is a hands-on, 'boots-on-the-ground' role specifically designed for a leader who excels in fast-paced environments and can drive team accountability while maintaining a strong operational focus. The position involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including offloading, picking, packing, and dispatch, while leading from the floor to develop and mentor staff.
In addition to managing daily operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for tracking KPIs, monitoring productivity, and managing equipment and operational expenditures (OPEX). You will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and Logistics departments to ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards, and SOPs. The role demands commercial thinking to optimize costs, drive efficiency, and ensure 100% accuracy in inventory management and client satisfaction.

Key Requirements
Professional qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or warehouse management.
Proven track record of hands-on leadership and team development.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and performance reporting.
Experience in managing KPIs, team performance, and operational budgets.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to optimize organizational costs.
Expertise in warehouse workflows including offloading, picking, and dispatch.
Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and SOPs.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Excellent collaborative skills to work effectively with HR, Finance, and Logistics.
Analytical mindset for tracking productivity and equipment uptime.
