PROCUREMENT MANAGER – CONTRACTING EXPERIENCE @ GBHIC
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Procurement Manager with a specialized background in the construction and contracting industry to join our expanding team in Dubai. This role involves overseeing the complete end-to-end procurement lifecycle for various construction projects, ensuring that all materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining project timelines and high-quality standards across all site activities. Your expertise will be crucial in streamlining operations and optimizing the supply chain to support large-scale engineering initiatives.
The responsibilities include evaluating and negotiating with a wide range of suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best terms and build long-lasting vendor relationships. You will collaborate closely with project and site teams to identify material requirements and monitor procurement schedules to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with company policies and contract terms, utilizing your deep knowledge of UAE market rates and construction materials to drive success and mitigate risks within the procurement process.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
8–10 years of procurement experience in construction/contracting companies
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Deep knowledge of construction materials and current market rates in UAE
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage end-to-end procurement activities for major construction projects
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
Strong understanding of contract law and legal terms specific to the construction industry
Ability to coordinate effectively with project and site teams for material forecasting
Demonstrated track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
