ACCOUNTANT (1 POSITION) @ G GARDEN AND GRILL
G Garden and Grill is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage all financial transactions and reporting for our Dodoma branch. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly balance sheets, and managing the company's accounts payable and receivable to ensure a healthy cash flow. You will be expected to reconcile bank statements and track all daily expenses to provide management with clear financial insights that assist in strategic decision-making and budgeting processes.
As the Accountant, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the company remains tax compliant by preparing and filing VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory returns in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of accounting principles and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where financial accuracy is paramount. Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
Professional certification such as CPA (T) or ACCA (at least intermediate level).
Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar financial role for at least 3 years.
Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Tally, or specialized hospitality ERPs.
Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Ability to prepare financial statements and budget forecasts independently.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
Strong ethics and reliability when handling sensitive financial data.
Good communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance management.
