SYSTEMS ENGINEER @ FUMBA PORTS
Fumba Ports Limited is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Systems Engineer to design, develop, roll out, manage and secure the company systems infrastructure. The role will support business requirements by ensuring reliable, secure and high-performing ICT systems in line with industry standards and best practices. As a Systems Engineer, you will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity and performance of our technological backbone, ensuring that all operational infrastructures are resilient and scalable to meet evolving business needs.
The successful candidate will oversee the deployment and maintenance of servers, databases, and network components, while championing security initiatives across the organization. This position requires a proactive professional who can handle complex diagnostic challenges, maintain rigorous documentation, and collaborate effectively across technical departments to foster an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Requirements
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Data Science, or ICT related field.
At least 3 years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar infrastructure/security role.
Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, and Hyper-V.
Strong understanding of ICT security, threat management, and vulnerability remediation.
Experience with automation and scripting using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Ability to manage CI/CD pipelines and implement DevOps best practices.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and time management capabilities.
