SENIOR DATA ENGINEER (5–10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE) @ FTEK SOLUTIONS
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take a leadership role in our data engineering projects in the UAE. This position is vital for architecting and overseeing the deployment of complex data systems that drive decision-making for our clients. Candidates must be prepared for an urgent start on projects with durations ranging from three to twelve months, depending on the specific project needs and performance.
As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to set the standard for data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Your role involves mentoring junior engineers, optimizing large-scale data workflows, and ensuring that ETL pipelines are both efficient and resilient. You will leverage your deep expertise in PySpark and Delta Lake to deliver high-quality data solutions within a fast-paced and demanding professional landscape.

Key Requirements
5–10 years of extensive experience in data engineering and system architecture.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, specifically Lakehouse and Medallion models.
Expert-level proficiency in the Azure ecosystem (ADF, ADLS, Databricks).
High-level expertise in PySpark and distributed data processing.
Mastery of SQL for enterprise-level data management and optimization.
Extensive track record in designing and deploying complex ETL pipelines.
Deep understanding of Delta Lake features and ACID compliance.
Ability to lead technical teams and provide architectural guidance.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Flexibility to commit to project durations of 3, 6, or 12 months.
Experience in managing data lifecycles in high-pressure environments.
