Polytra Tanzania, a member of the Fracht GROUP, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or someone with early career experience looking to build a solid foundation in corporate accounting and financial management. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while adhering to company policies and statutory regulations.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the validation and processing of invoices, supporting the posting of purchase and sales transactions in Odoo, and managing bank and petty cash reconciliations. The Junior Accountant will also play a crucial role in preparing monthly financial reports, assisting with internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with VAT and withholding tax obligations. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Fresh graduate or up to one (1) year of relevant experience.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis.
Knowledge of Odoo ERP system is considered an added advantage.
Ability to assist in validating and processing invoices accurately.
Competency in supporting the preparation of bank and petty cash reconciliations.
Willingness to assist in the filing of VAT and withholding tax obligations.
