FOREST EXTENSION (2 POSITIONS) @ FORLAND
The FORLAND Project – Forestry, Land Use and Value Chains Development in Tanzania is seeking two passionate Forest Extension interns to join its dynamic team in Mafinga. These roles are pivotal in driving sustainable land use practices and enhancing forestry value chains within the region. Interns will work closely with local communities to promote climate-resilient agricultural and forestry techniques, ensuring long-term environmental sustainability and economic growth for the participants.
Successful candidates will be stationed in Mafinga, Iringa, where they will participate in field activities, data collection, and community training sessions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the forestry sector, focusing on the intersection of community development and environmental conservation. Candidates will be expected to support the implementation of forestry policies and contribute to the overall goals of the FORLAND project through innovative extension services.

Key Requirements
A degree or diploma in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
Basic understanding of forestry extension services and community engagement.
Passion for sustainable land use and environmental conservation.
Ability to work in rural field conditions in Mafinga, Iringa.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for community training.
Strong report writing skills and proficiency in data documentation.
Basic knowledge of Tanzanian forestry laws and regulations.
Willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in Swahili and English is highly recommended.
