COMMUNICATION (1 POSITION) @ FORLAND
The Communication intern at FORLAND Project will play a vital role in documenting and sharing the project's impact on forestry and land use development in Tanzania. This position involves crafting compelling narratives about community success stories, managing social media updates, and assisting in the production of multimedia content. The intern will work under the guidance of the communications department to ensure that the project's objectives and achievements are visible to all stakeholders.
Based in Mafinga, the intern will be responsible for covering field activities and translating technical forestry concepts into accessible information for the public. This role is ideal for a creative individual with a background in journalism or public relations who is eager to apply their skills in a development and environmental context. The intern will also help organize workshops and media events to promote the project's visibility and transparency.

Key Requirements
A degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Exceptional writing and editing skills in both English and Swahili.
Proficiency in managing social media platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram.
Basic skills in photography and video editing for project documentation.
Ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing community members.
Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite is an advantage.
Ability to travel to remote areas within Iringa for content collection.
Highly organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
