VOLUNTEER FIELD OFFICER @ FOOD FOR HIS CHILDREN
Food for His Children (FFHC) is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Volunteer Field Officers in the Karatu District. This role is ideal for those passionate about community service and spiritual growth, focusing on teaching Biblical values and D4D principles to local families. As a Field Officer, you will serve as a role model, helping families understand their purpose and empowering them to improve their lives through various community initiatives and case management strategies.
The responsibilities include conducting regular home visits to monitor health, farming practices, and food security, while documenting the progress of families through detailed case notes and weekly stories. Volunteers will also facilitate savings groups and support school involvement programs. In return, the organization provides meals during working days, accommodation, communication support, and a motorcycle for transport. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience and significant personal and spiritual growth in a rural, multicultural setting.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
Valid motorcycle driving license and the ability to ride a motorcycle in remote village terrains.
Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili for effective communication with diverse community members.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
Strong commitment to living and leading according to Christian values and Biblical principles.
Willingness to work and live in a rural, multicultural environment for a minimum of 6 months.
Ability to conduct regular home visits to monitor family progress, farming practices, and goat care.
Strong documentation skills for writing case notes and weekly transformation stories.
Experience or willingness to learn how to facilitate savings groups and community engagement programs.
Capability to provide coaching, guidance, and practical support to families to achieve food security.
A strong desire to live and lead like Jesus within the community.
