TREASURY OFFICER @ FINCA
The Treasury Officer at FINCA plays a crucial role within the Finance and Administration department, located at the Head Office in Dar es Salaam. This position is central to the Treasury unit's operations, managing essential activities such as online payments, branch liquidity support, and fund transfers across various bank accounts. The officer is responsible for providing critical reports to management and external regulators, ensuring that the organization's financial functions remain active and compliant with statutory requirements. Primary duties involve the preparation of daily and monthly liquidity reports, overseeing bank account management, and managing interest accruals for investments and borrowings. The role requires close collaboration with the Payment and Reconciliation unit and the development of payment projections to support budget control and planning. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional certifications like CPA or ACCA being highly valued. Experience in the banking or microfinance sector, specifically within treasury or regulatory reporting, is necessary for success in this role.
Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 1 year experience in Treasury or Financial and regulatory roles
Possession of CPA/ACCA or Chartered Accountancy qualification
Possession of ACI Dealing Certificate is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of Treasury, Accounting, and Financial management principles
Understanding of relevant statutory requirements and Central Bank regulations
Experience in microfinance and general banking practices
Proficiency in preparing daily liquidity reports and monthly financial statements
Ability to manage bank accounts and ensure adequate branch-level liquidity
Skills in developing and managing payment projections for budget control
