LEGAL COUNSEL @ FINCA TANZANIA
The Legal Counsel at FINCA Tanzania will provide expert legal support to the institution's operations, with a primary focus on litigation, corporate law, banking, and corporate finance matters. The role involves ensuring the company remains compliant with all regulatory requirements while managing critical documentation and safeguarding the organization's interests in various legal proceedings.
Key responsibilities include processing loan agreements, mortgages, and debentures, as well as representing the company in courts of law. The Legal Counsel will also act as a liaison with external legal teams, maintain legal reports, and provide strategic legal opinions to support the microfinance operations across Tanzania, specifically operating out of the Dar es Salaam Head Office.

Key Requirements
Must be a certified Advocate
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
At least 3 years of experience in a law firm or commercial organization
Proficiency in computer literacy and legal software
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Self-motivated, creative, and results-oriented mindset
Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff
Excellent communication and drafting skills
Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor and banking laws
