COST ACCOUNTANT @ FAVORITE GROUP
Favorite Group is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing production costs, preparing budget reports, and managing inventory accounting. This role involves working closely with the production and finance departments to optimize operational efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting.
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in evaluating manufacturing processes and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. You will be expected to maintain and update the cost accounting system, conduct periodic physical inventory counts, and reconcile results with the general ledger. The position requires a candidate who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver precise results under tight deadlines.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is an advantage.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience in manufacturing industry cost structures.
Ability to perform variance analysis and cost-benefit assessments.
Knowledge of internal control procedures and inventory valuation.
