STORE SALES ASSOCIATE (12 POSITIONS) @ EXPERT CONSULTANCY
Our client is a prestigious French-based group and a global leader in the Travel Retail industry, operating across 52 countries. They specialize in Duty-Free Retail, Travel Essentials, and Food Services. Since starting operations in Tanzania in 2021 at Julius Nyerere International Airport and expanding to Kilimanjaro International Airport in 2022, they have been providing world-class services to travelers. We are currently seeking 12 energetic Store Sales Associates to join our team, with 6 positions available at Kilimanjaro International Airport and 6 at Julius Nyerere International Airport.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exemplary customer service by welcoming and guiding customers through their shopping experience. You will use your in-depth product knowledge to advise customers, develop additional sales, and handle cash collections following strict procedures. Beyond sales, you will assist with merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness. Given the airport's 24/7 operating schedule, you will work on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Key Requirements
Ability to use initiative in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional attitude
Good understanding of sales techniques and customer service excellence
Previous retail experience, preferably in a high-traffic or airport setting
Fluency in both Swahili and English for effective communication with international travelers
Previous experience in cash handling and managing transaction tills
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a retail outlet
Experience in direct customer sales and product advising
Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical demands like manual handling
Willingness to work on rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
