ELECTRICIAN / PLUMBER @ EXPERT CONSULTANCY
Fanjove Island is seeking a dedicated Electrician/Plumber to support the day-to-day maintenance of the island’s core infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure that both electrical and plumbing systems operate reliably at all times. Working in a remote location requires a proactive mindset, as you will often be expected to identify issues early, troubleshoot independently, and implement effective solutions with limited resources. You will be involved in a variety of technical tasks, ranging from routine inspections and preventive maintenance to addressing urgent repairs.
In addition to core electrical and plumbing tasks, you will support the upkeep of the island’s solar power systems, gaining valuable exposure to off-grid energy solutions. This position is well-suited to someone who is practical, dependable, and eager to broaden their technical knowledge in a unique and challenging environment. Key Requirements
Basic to intermediate skills in electrical work and repairs
Basic to intermediate skills in plumbing installations and troubleshooting
Knowledge or exposure to solar power systems is a strong advantage
Ability to work independently in a remote island environment
Hands-on, practical, and solution-oriented approach to technical tasks
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive work ethic
Previous experience in hospitality maintenance or remote sites is a plus
Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
