ASSISTANT MANAGER – INSURANCE PREMIUM FINANCE @ EXIM BANK TANZANIA
The Assistant Manager for Insurance Premium Finance at Exim Bank Tanzania is a strategic role responsible for overseeing the entire insurance premium financing lifecycle. The incumbent will be tasked with developing and implementing high-level strategies to drive sales, manage operational efficiency, and expand the bank's loan volume within the insurance sector. This role requires a visionary leader capable of identifying new business opportunities, fostering partnerships with insurance carriers, and ensuring that all departmental activities align with the bank’s broader growth objectives and regulatory standards.
In addition to strategic planning, the role involves day-to-day management of the premium finance team, including setting performance benchmarks, providing professional coaching, and conducting evaluations. The Assistant Manager will act as a key liaison between the bank and its stakeholders, ensuring that customer inquiries are resolved with excellence and that credit risks are proactively assessed and mitigated. The role is based in Dar es Salaam and requires a commitment to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous innovation within the financial services environment.

Key Requirements
At least 5 years of work experience in Credit or Insurance industry, specifically in Operations, Underwriting, and Claims.
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Banking, Risk Management, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum Certificate in Insurance/CoP.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and supervise professional teams.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial compliance.
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and a sworn declaration of good character.
Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills.
Advanced proficiency in customer segmentation and distribution-channel strategies.
ACII certification is considered an added advantage.
