DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY CONSULTANT (WCAG 2.1 AA) @ ERP ANALYSTS
We are seeking a dedicated Digital Accessibility Consultant to support a prominent higher education client in evaluating and enhancing their PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (SIS) environment. The primary focus of this role is to conduct a thorough accessibility audit and a WCAG 2.1 AA gap analysis, specifically targeting student-facing and applicant-facing workflows and self-service user interfaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying accessibility barriers and developing an actionable remediation roadmap to ensure the client's digital environment meets all compliance standards. Key deliverables include a detailed gap analysis report, a comprehensive issue log, and a professional executive summary for stakeholders. Candidates should have a deep understanding of enterprise systems and the unique accessibility challenges within the higher education sector. This project requires a detail-oriented professional who can translate technical accessibility findings into strategic recommendations. You will work closely with the client's IT and student services teams to ensure that all digital touchpoints are inclusive and accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities.
Key Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in digital accessibility and WCAG compliance.
Proven experience conducting WCAG 2.1 AA gap analyses and accessibility audits.
Expertise with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse.
Strong knowledge of WAI-ARIA standards and best practices.
Extensive experience with screen reader technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Prior experience working with enterprise systems, specifically PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Ability to evaluate complex student-facing workflows and self-service UIs.
Demonstrated capability in creating actionable remediation roadmaps.
Strong technical writing skills for gap analysis reports and issue logs.
Excellent communication skills for presenting executive summaries to leadership.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting project deadlines.
