SENIOR OFFICER – CHARGEBACKS OPERATIONS @ EQUITY BANK TANZANIA
Equity Bank Tanzania is inviting applications for the position of Senior Officer – Chargebacks Operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the dispute resolution process for card transactions, ensuring all chargebacks are handled in accordance with network rules and bank policies. You will work closely with customers, merchants, and card networks to resolve disputes effectively while minimizing financial losses for the bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking operations and a meticulous approach to documentation and communication. You will contribute to maintaining the reputation of Equity Bank by providing fair and timely resolution services.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Banking, Law, or a business-related discipline.
Comprehensive knowledge of Visa/Mastercard chargeback guidelines.
Strong investigative and documentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in analyzing complex transaction data.
Keen understanding of financial fraud prevention measures.
Ability to manage a heavy workload with high precision.
Knowledge of Tanzanian banking regulations.
Computer literacy, especially in dispute management platforms.
