ASSISTANT MANAGER - MERCHANT ACQUIRING @ EQUITY BANK
Equity Bank is looking for an Assistant Manager - Merchant Acquiring to strengthen our electronic payment services and expand our market share. In this role, you will focus on expanding our merchant network and ensuring high levels of service quality for our business partners. You will play a key part in promoting our merchant solutions and driving revenue growth through innovative payment products.
You will work closely with the sales and technical teams to onboard new merchants and provide ongoing support. The role requires a candidate who is passionate about digital finance and has the drive to stay ahead in a competitive market. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the payment industry, merchant services, or banking sales.
Proven track record in merchant acquisition and maintaining long-term business relationships.
Strong understanding of POS systems, E-commerce platforms, and mobile payment technologies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and transaction data.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to close deals with high-value merchants.
Knowledge of international card scheme regulations, including Visa and Mastercard.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools to manage the sales pipeline.
Ability to train merchants and internal staff on new payment products and services.
Customer-centric approach to business development and problem resolution.
Ability to develop marketing strategies to increase merchant adoption rates.
Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with merchant transactions.
