SITE MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ EPICBR
EpicBR is seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance and servicing of generator mechanical systems at our Tanga location. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring all mechanical work is performed in alignment with established SHEQ protocols and standard operating procedures. You will be instrumental in analyzing performance data to provide inputs for condition monitoring and driving overall system reliability through failure prevention strategies.
Key duties include diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults, monitoring system malfunctions, and managing generator SMU data to schedule preventive maintenance requirements. You will also manage load distribution and optimization to ensure 24/7 operational efficiency. This role requires a professional with high technical expertise in large generator operations and the ability to lead technical teams in a high-pressure environment.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power/Energy Engineering.
4+ years of experience in large generators or power generation.
Experience in 24/7 continuous operations environments.
Caterpillar equipment experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of large generator systems operations and maintenance skills.
Excellent leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good computer skills, including the Microsoft Office package.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults in heavy machinery.
Ability to analyze performance data and provide condition monitoring inputs.
