The Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all repair and service activities are completed efficiently and safely. This involves actively managing the availability and operational status of all workshop equipment and machinery, guaranteeing proper maintenance to support uninterrupted activities. The Foreman will be responsible for receiving job cards from Service Advisors, distributing work to technicians based on their individual skills and current workload, and meticulously monitoring progress until completion.
A key aspect of this role includes conducting thorough vehicle inspections and performing road tests both before and after repairs. This is vital to verify the quality of work performed and to ensure that vehicles are fully prepared for customer delivery. Additionally, the Foreman will monitor technician productivity, provide essential technical guidance, and effectively resolve operational challenges to continuously improve workshop efficiency and maintain high-quality service standards. Key Requirements
Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in an automotive workshop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Foreman role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations.
Understanding of workshop safety standards, quality control procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Excellent leadership with the ability to coordinate multiple repair activities.
Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to effectively manage a team of technicians and foster a collaborative environment.
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
