DENTAL THERAPIST @ EPHA HOSPITAL
EPHA Hospital is looking for a qualified Dental Therapist to provide essential oral health services at our facility in Tunduma, Songwe. The candidate will play a vital role in providing dental treatments and preventive care to patients of all ages. You will work closely with other dental professionals to promote oral hygiene and perform procedures such as scaling, polishing, and simple extractions, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate and professional care.
Beyond clinical duties, the Dental Therapist will be involved in community outreach and patient education programs to improve oral health awareness in the Songwe region. You will be responsible for managing patient records, ensuring the sterilization of dental instruments, and adhering to strict clinical standards. Key Requirements
Diploma in Dental Therapy from an accredited medical training center
Full registration with the Medical Council or Dental Board of Tanzania
Practical experience in providing dental cleanings and basic procedures
Strong knowledge of oral health education and preventive care techniques
Ability to perform dental x-rays and assist in oral surgeries if required
Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sterilization
Compassionate approach to patient care, especially with children
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient history and records
Fluency in Swahili and English to effectively communicate with patients
