Enza Zaden Tanzania Ltd is seeking a dedicated Plumber Technician to join our team in Arusha. This role is pivotal for our high-quality seed production facility, focusing on the installation and maintenance of complex industrial plumbing systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure that all water supply, drainage, and high-pressure piping systems operate at peak efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and a deep commitment to maintaining the safety and integrity of our farm operations.
Beyond routine maintenance, the Plumber Technician is responsible for reading technical schematics, conducting rigorous pressure tests, and managing spare parts inventory. Key Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing, Pipe Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial, factory, manufacturing, or large-scale irrigation systems.
Strong knowledge of industrial plumbing, pumps, pressure systems, and maintenance procedures.
Experience with compressors, booster systems, and fluid transfer systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plumbing schematics accurately.
Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergency system failures and breakdowns.
Proficient in conducting pressure testing, leak detection, and pipe fitting tasks.
Skill in maintaining detailed maintenance records and managing spare parts inventory.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and fluency in both English and Kiswahili.
Strict adherence to safety protocols and maintenance procedures in a high-pressure environment.
