INTERIM FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MANAGER @ ENZA ZADEN TANZANIA LTD
Enza Zaden Tanzania Ltd, a leader in horticultural hybrid seed production and export, is seeking an experienced Interim Facilities Maintenance Manager. This interim fixed-term contract spans an initial six-month period with the possibility of a six-month extension. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the maintenance department, including buildings, greenhouses, utilities, and infrastructure, ensuring all technical assets remain fully functional.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role involves developing and executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs while maintaining rigorous performance KPIs. The manager will be responsible for leading the maintenance team, overseeing external contractors, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualified candidates must be available to commence the assignment on short notice.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related engineering discipline.
Full registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in facilities or maintenance management.
At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams in industrial environments.
Demonstrated experience with preventive and predictive maintenance program implementation.
Strong knowledge of building infrastructure, utility management, and maintenance budgeting.
Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office suite.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic communication skills.
