Our client in the motorparts and autobody parts distribution industry is seeking an HR & Finance Manager to join their fast-paced SME environment in Pretoria. This is an on-site role within a stock-driven operation supplying workshops, panel beaters, and retailers. The ideal candidate will excel in managing full HR and finance functions within a busy operational environment, handling everything from recruitment and payroll to financial reporting.
You will work closely with operations, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure the business runs efficiently and remains compliant with all legal requirements. Key responsibilities include managing debtors and creditors, monitoring cash flow, and implementing strong internal controls. Candidates should demonstrate high levels of reliability, integrity, and the ability to manage both HR and finance responsibilities simultaneously. Key Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of HR and finance experience without a degree, or 2-3 years with a relevant qualification
Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, and payroll management
In-depth knowledge and compliance experience with BCEA, LRA, and EE Act requirements
Strong financial background in managing debtors, creditors, and cash flow
Ability to prepare accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
Practical experience with accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or Xero
Previous experience in automotive, wholesale, retail, or logistics industries
High level of attention to detail and professionalism
Reliability and integrity with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience maintaining internal controls within a stock-heavy business
Relevant HR or finance certifications are considered an advantage
