GENERAL WORKER @ EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Our client, a prominent player in the lighting manufacturing and illumination systems industry, is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Worker to join their production team in Springfield Park, Durban. This position is ideal for individuals who are hands-on and looking to grow within a structured manufacturing environment. The role involves working closely with production teams to ensure that all illumination systems are assembled and manufactured according to strict quality standards and technical specifications. As a key member of the floor staff, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and output of the facility. The daily responsibilities include utilizing various manufacturing tools and equipment, such as drills and screwdrivers, to complete assembly tasks. You will be required to take accurate measurements using vernier calipers and measuring tapes, ensuring that every component fits perfectly within the final product. Success in this role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to follow complex instructions precisely, and a strong work ethic. The position is full-time and requires candidates who are flexible enough to work occasional overtime and Saturdays as production demands necessitate.
Key Requirements
Candidates must possess a valid Matric certificate (Grade 12).
Basic foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes and environments.
Proven ability to read and interpret measuring tape and vernier measurements accurately.
Proficiency and confidence in using basic hand tools, specifically screwdrivers and drills.
Capability to follow verbal and written instructions with extreme attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and safely within a busy production environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness and availability to work full-time hours including occasional overtime.
Ability to work on Saturdays as required by the production schedule.
A reliable and proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry.
