DATA PROTECTION & INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST @ ELUMI
The Data Protection & Information Security Analyst will play a critical role in supporting compliance with Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2022 and ISO 27001 standards. The successful candidate will manage data protection strategies, oversee information security controls, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and handle security incident responses. Additionally, the role involves developing organizational security policies, conducting staff awareness training programs, and preparing compliance reports for management. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data assets in an increasingly complex threat landscape. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can proactively identify vulnerabilities and implement robust security measures to protect company and stakeholder information. The role operates out of Dar es Salaam and requires a deep understanding of local and international data governance frameworks.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Security.
Minimum 3 years' experience in information security or data protection.
Knowledge of PDPA 2022 and GDPR.
Understanding of ISO 27001 frameworks.
Experience in security policy development.
Strong analytical skills for risk assessment.
Ability to manage security incidents effectively.
Excellent reporting and communication skills.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP).
Strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality.
