LOGISTICS MANAGER @ ELEGEX LOGISTICS LIMITED
Elegex Logistics Limited is looking for a strategic and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our transport operations in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for leading the entire supply chain function, including fleet optimization, cross-border logistics, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will play a pivotal role in mentoring team members, managing complex fleet maintenance schedules, and ensuring that the organization meets its performance metrics regarding transit efficiency and cost control.
This leadership position requires an individual who can navigate the complexities of transport corridors in East and Southern Africa. You will work closely with executive leadership to implement digital workflows, manage risk, and handle customs compliance and incident investigations. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a strong background in heavy haulage or logistics operations who can drive process improvements and foster a culture of accountability throughout the organization.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 years of progressive logistics or fleet management experience.
At least 2 years in a managerial role within transport or heavy haulage operations.
Advanced proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and GPS platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
Strong analytical and crisis-management abilities.
Expert knowledge of customs procedures and transport regulations in East/Southern Africa.
Proven ability to mentor and lead diverse operational teams.
Strategic mindset with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
High level of proficiency in MS Office for reporting and data analysis.
